descriptionIn 2004 Delft University of Technology has developed a forest floor interception measuring device. It measures the evaporation from interception of the forest floor. The device consists of a permeable upper basin filled with forest floor and a watertight lower basin that are weighed continuously with strain gauges. Rainfall is measured with a tipping bucket near the interception device.
